Julie Chen Moonves hosts the sensational summer reality series Big Brother, which returned for the 22nd season on August 5 at CBS.Chen Moonves was one the original hosts of The Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk program The Talk, serving as host and moderator from between 2010 and 2018. But her real passion was the time she brought writer into her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for this. She also won the Emmy award for her outstanding host of a talk show. Her experience in the news industry made her a natural for the switch to The Talk, which examines the latest news and current problems through the lens that of female hosts.Chen Moonves hosted the co-hosted version of CBS News' weekday morning broadcast The Early Show from 2002 until 2010. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and hosts for The Early Show. After 9/11, she was sent to Cairo and located the main hijacker's father for an intense and shocking interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers such as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania of Jordan and former Defense Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities such as Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Chen Moonves has also worked for the network's New York City station WCBS as a reporter anchor and producer (1997-1999). Before entering CBS News from 1995 Chen Moonves had been an anchor and reporter for WDTN TV Dayton. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's associated news service (1992-1995) and as a desk-assistant for the ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while completing her final year of college from The University of Southern California. As a desk assistant, she worked in ABC News' Nightline program alongside Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is one of her journalists heroes. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel for the du-Pont-winning Columbia primetime special, Anatomy of a Riot, which examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
